About

Because of a longer serious illness the GmbH consists at the moment only of me.

I am the founder and owner of the company. I have been working in the IT industry since 1984 and have a wealth of experience in data modeling, programming, and business analysis.

My goal has always been to make complex events visible and to represent and comprehend them in a comprehensible way.

Thereby I pursued general knowledge representation in formal logic as well as with RDF, even before I founded the company. Hence the somewhat unwieldy name, which I still found really original in my early 30s :)

I then implemented solutions for my customers mainly with relational data and WebUIs, since the environment of RDF was not yet productively applicable, and the term "Knowledge Graph" did not yet exist.

So I wrote the application that Siemens AG used to ensure Y2K compliance of all divisions and national companies, with a very hierarchically structured data model that I would have loved to implement as a graph instead of in an Oracle database.

Also the recording of applications, networks and communication links between applications in the context of carve out projects of Siemens AG required a complex data model, especially since I had to guarantee a simple representation of the system at any time in order to be able to prove in case of dispute who had entered what and when.

Also when I brought the print catalog of Oracle Education Germany online, I would have liked to have a graph data model, but the technology was not yet ready.

After I was only able to do smaller projects due to a serious illness, now that I am recovered, I see many things as ready for production that I would have liked to have done earlier.

In my last project, for Bayer AG, I was allowed to evaluate several Triplestores, especially in the area of performance, transactions and constraints.

I loaded some triplestores with trillions of triples, tested queries, tested adherence to the data model, loaded the triplestores with too much data on configurations that were too small, forcibly terminated them while loading trillions of triples and during large query loads by hundreds of parallel clients, and am quite happy with the results.

So I'm now fully into knowledge representation, and can take full advantage of the more finely structured and both logically and visually representable world of graph data models to quickly provide useful solutions to my clients.
